" It was so easy to work with Silke as she understands not only photography but also branding very well. She is very detailed and planned in her approach. She visited my studio a number of times, to know me and what kind of photos I would like. What I absolutely love is how flexible she was to move the shoot by a few weeks so I could have time to set up my store. I am extremely happy with the outcome. The pictures are fantastic and I cannot wait to use them!"

Life is unpredictable. Who would’ve thought that participating in a holiday soap making workshop with your daughter would determine your future enterprise. This is exactly how Nupur came into business. Having enjoyed the workshop so much, she started making her own soaps at home until more and more friends asked to buy some from her. With her craft booming quickly, she was soon featured in a variety of magazines, causing her to take her business to the next level by renting a professional studio. When I looked at her Instagram account, she had already acquired a consistent and aesthetic feed. The only thing missing was the actual soap making process that we needed to translate into emotionally engaging imagery.
Since I wanted to photograph the actual process we needed to have a very precise shoot script, stating every part of the production. We started with the mixing of the chemicals, continuing onto the pouring into the mould, decorating the soaps and leaving it for 24 hours to dry. She had previously prepared two other blocks of soap to showcase the precise cutting of the individual bars.
Nupur has terrific taste when it comes to interior design and it was a great pleasure shooting in such a tastefully styled space. Curating every single picture is the secret sauce of receiving a gallery full of stylish imagery tailored to your brand.
