WORKING WITH ME
More than just headshots
When most people hear “brand photography”, what comes to mind are stiff headshots and studio-posed photos on LinkedIn — that’s actually portrait photography.
What I offer is far more extensive, dynamic, and valuable. True brand photography captures a brand’s essence and tells a visual story. It is intentional, in depth, and a unique reflection of your brand at its best.
What I do is tell your story through my lens.
"Silke, the genius behind Zebra&Jojo Photography,
was a dream to work with!
Communication with Silke was easy and smooth. Her passion for this work is clear. I could feel that the images we were taking were not just important to me, but equally important to her. Silke was also A LOT of fun; it’s easy to warm up to her bright smile and energy. I especially love how open and willing she is to explore my ideas, create space for me to bring my thoughts into the planning process, and allow us to co-create magic together.
I absolutely love my images and have received feedback on how it has captured the essence of who I am. This is 100% a 5-star experience!"

The Shoot Process
Things begin when you send in your inquiry. I’ll get back to you within 1-2 business days to schedule a kickoff call, where we’ll dive into your businesss and brand photography needs.
After we’ve decided on a package, it’s time to begin preparations. I’ll research your current brand image based on your website and social media platforms. You will also receive a detailed questionnaire on your brand personality and target audience, plus my Ultimate Planning Guide to help you get ready. The details from the kickoff call, questionnaire, and my research will inform our brand direction. You can also send me any brand strategy documents you may have at this juncture.
Now that we have decided the brand direction with all of the above information, I’ll create a personalised Pinterest mood board and we’ll work together to refine it. This will be our inspiration for the ideal setting, outfits, and props. Venue selection is important — I’ll research and recommend a venue and setting that will represent your brand well.
A shoot script is a plan for the different portrayals and angles we’ll capture, based on your brand photography needs and your brand questionnaire. For instance, some business owners may need more wide-angle images of them in action, while others may want the intimacy of close-up shots. I’ll list all these down in our shoot script so that nothing is missed on the day itself. Every detail of your story matters — even if it’s something like your love for matcha latte!
Just as artists need inspiration before a project, I invest some time before the shoot day into reviewing our mood board, refining the shoot script, and checking in with you. I do this in order to get into your head and understand what you really want and need.
It’s shoot day! With the props on hand, we’ll style and prepare the venue to reflect your work environment. If you’ve opted for The Styled Edition, you’ll also be styled and made up by a professional makeup artist. Then it’s time to relax and have fun! Leave the posing directions to me, and you’ll soon be relaxed, comfortable, and shining at your best.
You’ll receive your gallery of fully edited images in about three working days after the shoot. Part of my process always includes shooting more than we need, so that you have plenty to work with! From here, you can select the ones you like most and download them. With that, you now have a set of beautiful, on-brand images that tell your story and elevate your digital presence.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I’m really awkward in front of the camera?
I’ll let you in on a secret — almost everybody is. Don’t worry if you’re not used to being in front of the camera, we’ll sit and chat for a bit first to help you relax. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. And as a professional, I have my tried-and-tested bag of tricks to help put you at ease and have fun, so that your natural self will shine through.
What props should I bring?
If you’ve opted for The Styled Edition, we’ll take care of all the props for you. For the other packages, I’ll send you the Ultimate Planning Guide and a moodboard for your inspiration. In general, fresh flowers from the market, your work tools, and some beautiful stationery are always a good call.
What about hair and makeup?
We want to showcase you as your most authentic and comfortable self, so you can do whatever suits you best, whether that’s a natural look or a bold red lip. Some of our clients prefer to do their hair and makeup themselves, others engage a professional makeup artist (I can recommend some too). Regardless of your makeup preferences, we’ll elevate your photos and put you in a good light.
When can I expect to receive my gallery?
You’ll receive it about three working days after the photoshoot. I have a quick turnaround time, so you can polish your website or pitch deck as soon as possible! It will be an online gallery where you can download the images. These are sized for online use so they don’t interrupt website loading time, but high-res images (e.g. for print media features) are available upon request.
