I’m not just taking pretty pictures. Your brand values, personality, and desired portrayal all factor into the process. During the pre-shoot prep, we’ll do a deep dive into your brand and target audience so I can create that authenticity and emotional connection in your imagery.

Hand-in-hand with you

With me, a brand photoshoot is far from passively posing for the camera. We’ll work together on every detail, from the prop styling to the best angles. Think of it as a movie shoot — we’ll create the shoot script and direction together to bring out the best in you, the star of the day.

Embracing the fun

Making you look good is my priority, which is why your comfort is key! Don’t worry if this is your first brand photoshoot, or if you’re not good in front of the camera. I’ll turn up the music, put you at ease, and you’ll soon be enjoying yourself so much that you’ll forget the camera’s even there.

Strategy Planning

After we’ve decided on a package, it’s time to begin preparations. I’ll research your current brand image based on your website and social media platforms. You will also receive a detailed questionnaire on your brand personality and target audience, plus my Ultimate Planning Guide to help you get ready. The details from the kickoff call, questionnaire, and my research will inform our brand direction. You can also send me any brand strategy documents you may have at this juncture.

Mood Board Creation

Shoot Script Creation

A shoot script is a plan for the different portrayals and angles we’ll capture, based on your brand photography needs and your brand questionnaire. For instance, some business owners may need more wide-angle images of them in action, while others may want the intimacy of close-up shots. I’ll list all these down in our shoot script so that nothing is missed on the day itself. Every detail of your story matters — even if it’s something like your love for matcha latte!

What if I’m really awkward in front of the camera?

I’ll let you in on a secret — almost everybody is. Don’t worry if you’re not used to being in front of the camera, we’ll sit and chat for a bit first to help you relax. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. And as a professional, I have my tried-and-tested bag of tricks to help put you at ease and have fun, so that your natural self will shine through.

What props should I bring?

If you’ve opted for The Styled Edition, we’ll take care of all the props for you. For the other packages, I’ll send you the Ultimate Planning Guide and a moodboard for your inspiration. In general, fresh flowers from the market, your work tools, and some beautiful stationery are always a good call.

What about hair and makeup?

We want to showcase you as your most authentic and comfortable self, so you can do whatever suits you best, whether that’s a natural look or a bold red lip. Some of our clients prefer to do their hair and makeup themselves, others engage a professional makeup artist (I can recommend some too). Regardless of your makeup preferences, we’ll elevate your photos and put you in a good light.

When can I expect to receive my gallery?

You’ll receive it about three working days after the photoshoot. I have a quick turnaround time, so you can polish your website or pitch deck as soon as possible! It will be an online gallery where you can download the images. These are sized for online use so they don’t interrupt website loading time, but high-res images (e.g. for print media features) are available upon request.
